Careers
At the start of this course, a set of professional development workshops will be hosted by the Springboard team, where curriculum vitae preparation is explained and demonstrated. This is then followed by interview skills workshops, where interviews are recorded and played back for critical analysis with the learner. All of this happens in conjunction with a one-to-one career lab, where learners are invited to submit their own personal CV and the Springboard coordinator will give feedback to the learner on the content, layout etc of the CV.
The college has been proactively seeking contacts in industry so as to facilitate either an internship with Job Bridge or paid employment for all learners.
This will be supported with Employer Event Days, where employers such as LinkedIn, Google, Dress for Success, E Box Systems, The Crofton Group, Griffith College and recruitment agencies are invited in to speak to the learners about their expectations of a potential employee when the company advertises vacancies. The Springboard Team organised this for the current cohort of Springboard students and the feedback has been excellent from both the employer and the learners as it is exposing the learner to direct industry feedback in a commercial context.Admissions Contact Details
