Full Time Entry Requirements
Professional Accounting
ACCA
Professional Examination Route:
For entry to ACCA’s Professional Qualification, you must be al least 18 years old and meet at least one of the criteria:- Irish Leaving Certificate (in at least 5 separate subjects with at least 3 of the 5 subjects at Higher Level [Grade C or Higher] at least 2 of the remaining subjects at Grade D3 or above, either Higher Level or Ordinary Level [Grade D or above] including English and Mathematics]
- 2 A Levels and 2 GCSEs (in 5 separate subjects including English and Mathematics)
- Cat level B (complete)
- AAT (UK) Intermediate (complete)
- Degree (from a recognised institution in any subject)
- Higher Certificate in Business – pass (from a recognised Institute of Technology of HETAC accredited educational provider)
Mature Students Entry Route (MSER): For entry to ACCA’s Professional Qualification via the MSER you must be over 21 years old. You must also pass Papers M1 and M2 (equivalent to Papers 1.1 and 1.2) within two years from the date of your first eligible ACCA examination session. Students will then be able to transfer to the main student register.

A minimum of 5 passes in the Irish leaving certificate or international equivalent at Grade “D” or better on the lower papers. Subjects to include a pass in mathematics and a modern language. A modern language might be E.G. Irish, French and German.HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / HND in Manufacturing Engineering
BTEC Edexcel- A BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or manufacturing Engineering
- An AVCE/Advanced GNVQ in an Appropriate vocational area (eg in Engineering)
- A GCE Advanced Level Profile, which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or an adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to C ? Other related Level 3 qualifications
- An Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved further education institute
- Related work experience
- Achieve a Pass in the Irish Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Obtaining a minimum Grade OC1 in Mathematics, English and three other subjects.
Higher National Certificate in Travel & Tourism Management
BTEC Edexcel
Applicants will normally need to have at least one of the following: A BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in the appropriate area or an appropriate vocational qualification or a pass Irish Leaving Certificate or equivalent or related third level qualifications or related work experience.Professional Diploma in Management Studies

For learners who have been recently in education the entry profile is likely to include at least one of the following: A degree or BTEC Higher National or Level 3 short course in a related discipline (e.g. Business / Management) or appropriate work experience or an appropriate vocational qualification.
