This ordinary (Level 7) degree programme is designed to develop the student's knowledge and skills to resolve business problems and opportunities through studying the various modules.
The programme is ideal for students who either wish to pursue further studies or move into the world of business. The programme provides students with a sound knowledge of essential business principles and functions which reflect the breadth and depth of business operations including marketing, accounting, human resource management and information technology, among others. It provides an appreciation of the broader environment in which all businesses operate (e.g. economics, law, politics) and it develops students competences in a range of personal qualities such as emotional intelligence, initiative, learning to learn, self-awareness and confidence.
The first two years of the programme are common taught with the Higher Certificate in Business. The third year can be used as a top up for students who hold a level 6 qualification in business such as the Higher Certificate in Business.
Assessment
Students are assessed through examinations, coursework and projects
Validation / Professional Body Recognition
The course is validated by the Higher Education & Training Awards Council (HETAC), the Irish Government's qualifications awarding body for third-level educational and training institutions outside the university sector.

This programme is the perfect platform for students who wish to pursue further studies or move straight into the workplace. The broad scope of the course means that students gain an understanding of the many aspects of the world of marketing and business, opening many possiblilities in the field of marketing.
Progression Paths: On successful completion of this BA (Ord) in Marketing, students may elect to transfer to year three of the BA (Hons) in Business Studies.

- Full time Applicants under 23 years of age should apply directly through the college or through CAO.
- Mature applicants for full time or part time and applicants under 23 years of age for part time should apply directly to Griffith College.
- International applicants should also apply directly.
