The Certificate in Applied Social Studies is an excellent introduction to the theory and practice of social studies and social care. It incorporates psychology, sociology and group work.
The syllabus is designed to help students enhance their understanding of diverse groups, to gain deeper understanding of organizations and the group dynamics within organizations.
Further Study
Subject to certain requirements, this programme may be used through the CAO to apply for a third level degree in Social Studies or related disciplines. This course is also beneficial to those applying for a place as a mature student.
